The charger light will turn red when the battery is low, and green when full
-
The usual time to charge a low battery to 100% is 8-12 Hours (charge times may vary). Don't charge the battery more than 12 hours.
-
Don't leave it fully charged when storing for long periods. Similarly, lithium-ion batteries don't need to be charged all the way to 100%. In fact, they'd prefer not to be—so the 40%-80% charged is a good guideline. When possible, keep it in that range to prolong its life as long as you can when not in use. To achieve 40%-80% for storage, charge the battery for 5 hours. When preparing for a ride, charge the battery to 100% (green light).
-
Never completely drain the battery to 0%
-
Unplug the battery connection from the head light when not in use. This will prevent draining of the battery to 0%.
